Hi there, I'm Amanda!

Currently, I'm a junior studying Computer Science & Design at Northeastern University with a concentration in Interaction Design and a minor in Ethics.

I have always loved art and helping people growing up which led me to be especially drawn to the ethical considerations between tech & design as I learned more about how undermined these concerns are at school and within the industry. My passions in computer science, ethics, and design has transformed me into a designer where I actively strive to make meaningful design decisions to help create a better world.

I am open minded, motivated, and love to try new things. These combined interests have led me to pursue research and study abroad among many other things!

What else I'm passionate about

💻 For the past 3 years in college, I have been in HackBeanpot, an independent, Boston based non-profit that organizes in-person and beginner-friendly hackathons.

🏫 My favorite classes that I've taken so far are Design & Disability and AI Ethics because of how important but, how overlooked the topics often are.

🇮🇹 In June 2023, I studied abroad in Florence, Italy. I learned about the philosophy behind happiness and sketched museums, streets, and public spaces.

🤖 From 2022 - 2023, I researched the gender biases in female voice assistants to define solutions our society can work towards and presented at the RISE conference.
